
Pratyush is a Partner in the Employment and Corporate & Commercial Practice. He has approximately two decades of experience in corporate / commercial laws and employment law advisory.
Pratyush has extensive experience in broad spectrum of employment and labour law as well as global capability centers’ (GCC) enablement. With deep expertise in advising multinational and domestic companies, he assists clients across the full spectrum of workforce-related matters - from employment structuring, compliance, policies, contracts, and workplace investigations to complex employment/labour law advisory.
He handles complex and sensitive matters, providing strategic advice and representation to clients on a range of issues including senior executive hiring, employment law considerations in M&A and other corporate transactions. Pratyush regularly advises on disciplinary investigations, sexual harassment matters, employee exits, redundancies, senior-level employee separations and advise on enforcement of restrictive covenants. He also assists clients with audits / compliance checks with respect to employment law and other regulatory obligations including conducting training sessions.
Pratyush plays strategic role in setting up of businesses and GCC enabler, providing end-to-end support for setting up and operationalising GCCs in India. He advises clients right from entity structuring, regulatory approvals, workforce documentations / policy frameworks, and compliance, through to operational execution and ongoing legal support post-establishment. He also provides nuanced counsel in structuring and drafting transaction documents, joint venture arrangements, technology development, outsourcing and services arrangements, and operation of IT-based businesses and services.
Known for his practical, business-focused approach, Pratyush partners closely with Legal, HR and Leadership teams to de-risk operations and build future-ready corporations aligned with global best practices.
He is an active speaker on the Indian employment law landscape at seminars and industry events and is frequently invited by various multinational corporations as speaker on emerging employment issues.

- Acted as an extended legal arm of the global legal team of Sandoz Private Limited, providing comprehensive legal services and advisory on various aspects of employment laws, updating and streamlining the HR policies, assisting in the exit of management level employee, drafting/reviewing employment documents, procurement and supply contracts, general corporate matters and litigation strategy, post the global spin-off of Sandoz.
- Advised B. Braun’s manufacturing arm, Oyster Medisafe, on employment law, disciplinary actions, and terminations, ensuring compliance, mitigating risk, and supporting effective workforce management.
- Served as legal counsel to Dark Matter Technologies, a leader in predictive AI & automation in loan origination and mortgage industry, handling its full spectrum of legal matters in India, both contentious and non-contentious.
- Advised Persolkelly Pte. Limited, one of the largest workforce solution providers in APAC Region, in streamlining its contract review framework for various contracts executed by it, advisory on employment laws including immigration related aspects for expatriates, business model advisory, and litigation related support. Acted as extended legal arm in India in coordination with teams at Singapore and Malaysia.
- Assisted JFE Shoji Corporation, a company headquartered in Japan, dealing in steel products and raw materials for steel, in a complex legal and strategic post-termination advice of a senior-level employee.
- Represented NASDAQ listed company on employment and real estate matters concerning its India operations, including drafting employment documentation and policies, assisting in anti-sexual harassment proceedings, and reviewing vendor contracts.
